The belief at this project is that a birth produced in a loving atmosphere, helps to foster a great mother to child bond, and can give women a better self-awareness, which leads to happier families and a healthier society.

Why you are needed: Presently, there are no prenatal classes in this community, consequently, most women, often as young as 14, do not understand the birthing process. Families are not permitted to be present during labour and delivery, and often the women are treated poorly by local medical staff. These women need emotional support and advocacy.
