Travel & Medical Insurance for All AAV Volunteers – October 15
The safety and security of all our volunteers is of utmost importance. All Access Volunteers will now be able to include Travel & Medical Insurance coverage for all of our volunteers!

By offering the International Volunteer Card to every AAV volunteer, you can travel with confidence. As a volunteer, you will automatically be enrolled in the “Basic Travel Insurance Plan”, valid for trips up to 60 days. For long term volunteers, we recommend the “Premium Travel Insurance Plan”, which is valid for up to 180 days and includes upgraded services and added bonuses at an extra cost. Your coverage will begin the moment you receive an email confirming your enrollment in the plan.

As a bonus, the card gives you access to thousands of special discounts on everything you may need during your time as a volunteer. The more money you save, the more you have left to make a difference. More information…

NEW! Ecuador & Galapagos Islands Opportunities – October 11

All Access Volunteers would like to announce a new partnership in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. This new relationship will bring nearly a dozen new opportunities throughout the capital city of Quito, the Galapagos Islands and the Andes & Amazon regions. Volunteer projects include; various teaching opportunities, animal rescue, environmental conservation, building, health care, and sports activity programs. Go Global Expo

My journey in Honduras was filled with extremes — beauty like nothing I could have imagined, but brokenness and hurt that I could not quite comprehend. Heart warming stories and heart wrenching tragedies. Laughter and joy that was contagious, but tears and burdens carried by all. On our third day there, I found myself at a loss for words while staring into the face of a starving, crying orphan living in a poor rural area near La Ceiba, Honduras. Saying “Jesus loves you” felt oddly hypocritical, or maybe just an understatement. It took everything out of these small children to squeeze a smile upon receiving relief supplies that might last them a month. I asked an 11-year old girl named Diane what she wanted most in the world. Her answer was simply, “para poder jugar”… “to be able to play”. More…

A great opportunity for women of all walks of life. Midwives, doulas, nurses in training, medical students, doctors, mothers and nurturing women are needed! Help our friend Silvia in her effort to improve conditions for impoverished women giving birth in a community hospital in La Ceiba, Honduras. Work includes: providing pre and postnatal care, education and support to these women.
