Daniel Collins – Executive Director
After spending several years obtaining a Business Education from Ryerson University in Toronto and working in a number of professional positions, Daniel found himself in very unfamiliar territory while teaching in a one-room schoolhouse in the jungle of Honduras’ north coast, but he adapted quickly and soon fell in love with the area and its people. Daniel is the founder and Executive Director of All Access Volunteers and has created AAV in an effort to provide the services that volunteers need the most. Daniel knows this first hand as he has spent over two years living and working in Honduras as a volunteer. Daniel now lives in Vancouver and could not be happier doing what he loves most; coordinating volunteers and encouraging others to be a part of changing our world for the better. Outside of AAV, he has enjoyed a lifetime of playing hockey and getting out into the Canadian wilderness. Daniel exudes a true passion for travel, and hopes to continue to set up partnerships with NGOs around the globe.
Lisa Stefan – Administration & Events Coordinator
Lisa Stefan is the Administrator and Events Coordinator for AAV. Lisa has over 10 years of administrative experience and a health and fitness background. She is an adventure seeker, with a passion for travel and the outdoors. Lisa’s first trip to Honduras in early 2009 sparked a new passion; giving back. Lisa grew extremely fond of working with the kids and upon returning to Canada was looking for ways to continue to help this amazing jungle community and others like it. Lisa is currently studying to be a sommelier and she spends her spare time hiking in the mountains of her home town of North Vancouver, cooking for friends and family and planning her next adventure travel vacation.
Brenda Hibdon – Argentina Volunteer Coordinator
Director of Making a Difference Volunteers
After having traveled for many years all over the world, Brenda landed in
Posadas, Argentina working as a volunteer at a children’s home for three months. The experience in Posadas changed her life forever. After her volunteer work, she was offered a job as a volunteer coordinator based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Brenda has lived in Buenos Aires for over 3 years now, and has worked with over 200 volunteers from many different countries who came to do their part to “make a difference” in the world. Brenda founded Making a Difference Volunteers because she realized that her passion in life was to work with volunteers and offer them opportunities to work at viable placement projects around the world. She understands the difficulties that volunteers face when looking for placement projects in different countries, after having worked as a foreign volunteer herself, and having lived and traveled all over the world. Brenda is happiest while working alongside the volunteers at their projects. She gets an immense amount of satisfaction in seeing how the world can change for the better when people decide to help “make a difference”. While not working, Brenda studies Italian, is an avid reader, and loves spending time with her friends in Buenos Aires, and the many who come from all over the world to visit her.
Kelly Collins – Guatemala Volunteer Coordinator
Kelly Collins, Daniel’s younger sister, is our in-country Volunteer Coordinator for Guatemala. Kelly studied Travel & Tourism at Niagara College before she took her first position in Costa Rica working in a small resort for 4 months. That experience left her yearning to return to Central America and she did return in 2007 when she joined Daniel in Honduras to teach kinder in a project they helped to get off the ground. Kelly’s passion for travel and helping others grew and after nearly 6 months in Honduras it was a short trip back to Canada before she would return once again, this time to Guatemala. Kelly has been living in Guatemala since early 2009 and we are extremely excited to have her on board with us. Outside AAV Kelly would backpack the world if given the opportunity.
